MIKATASA

This was an online competition brief for a construction materials company in Indonesia. The breif was to design them a new logo, which had a symbol that could be seperated from the company name and still remain recognisable, much like Apple computers. They also requested that their brand colours be kept the same.

My concept was based around four abstract shapes which represent the MA of the company's name. The shapes intertwine using both positive and negative space to create the letter forms. The triangular nature of the shapes is also representative of the company's construction materials business, since triangles are the strongest form in construction.

The complete identity is simple, elegant and an accurate representation of the company. It is strong, bold and highly recognisable.
